Sixth Annual MLK Boys Basketball Classic

Jan 15, 2011

The 2010 Martin Luther King Jr. Boys Basketball Classic, gives us an opportunity not only to pay tribute to the man and his ideals, but to recognize student athletes that demonstrate leadership ideals and the coaches that commit their time and resources to nurture our young leaders.

The tournament is designed to give teams the opportunity to demonstrate the enduring qualities that will lead our youth to be productive citizens and leaders in our community. The MLK Holiday Classic is designed to bring exposure to Central Florida's top high school basketball programs, by pairing Central Florida's local high school team against high school teams from the rest of the state. The tournament will be held at Jones High School, 801 South Rio Grande Avenue, Orlando, FL

Our event is a summons to all coaches, players, parents and supporters to join in commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday. On this day, we will ask all of you, in your own way, to permit the dream to live on in your heart and become the firm foundation for our youth to demonstrate their passion for learning and their devotion for the community that has supported their growth in sport.
