Q & A w/ MCD Ogechi Anyagalligbo (Stony Brook)

FP: First I would like to congratulate you on your commitment to Stony Brook.

OA: Thank you for the congratulations

FP: No problem! What other schools did you consider?

OA: I had schools like Lamar University but my mother and I were both hooked on Stony Brook as soon as we took the visit.

FP: Gotcha! What made you choose Stony Brook?

OA: After talking it over with my father it became a no brainer that I belong at Stony Brook not only do they care about basketball but their student athletes are treated as students first. I for one look to education before I look to basketball and so do they.

FP: What position are you going to play at the school?

OA: I will be playing a "tweener" I will play a post player that can dribble drive and shoot showing my versatility.

FP: Are you glad that you made an early decision to commit early?

OA: I am glad that I made the early decision. For an indecisive person as I am waiting any longer would have given me doubts that I didn't truly have.

FP: What are your expectations for the first year?

OA: For my first year I expect nothing but the comforting and welcoming environment I felt on the visit. I also expect that the coaches expect nothing but hard work from me and that I will give them that.

FP: Have you decided on a major?

OA: I will try to double major in pre-med and psychology.

FP: Wow impressive! What do you expect to bring to the program?

OA: I expect to bring nothing but my hardest efforts, high energy, and a positive attitude to the program.

FP: Now that you have your College decision out of the way, what are your goals for the remaining of your high school career?

OA: With college decisions out of the way I have more time to focus on my studies and winning another state championship.
