Last year Jacksonville Ed White had one of the defenses in the First Coast area. They were aggressive at the point of attack and very good against the run. Winning the 3A state title and going undefeated, the Yellow Jackets finished ranked number two on the Florida Prospects Final Football Poll Rankings. Although they lost some players to graduation, the Yellow Jackets have many players returning from their state championship team. Jacksonville Sandalwood star athlete Jamar Hornsby wants everyone to know that he may be down, but he's no where near out of the game. Hornsby, rated number 2 in the Florida Prospects top 100 for 2006 started the season at running back, in an unselfish move to help his team generate some offense.
