Against all odds DP Lady Panthers still getting it done

Dr Phillips a team most people in the state thought would be a joke this year, have clearly shown there still relevant

A team that has went to state 4 years in a row and had won 3 state titles in a row and two time national champions were suppose to fall because they had lost there big guns. Well apparently Coach Anthony Jones and the remaining players thought differently.

Coming into this season losing 8 players off those championship teams 4 to graduation, 2 transferred and 2 to injuries. So what do the lady panthers do, they regroup.

Seniors Jade Cheek and Ionna McKenzie are the only players on this years team that had major experience also Imunique Green with some. Senior Katrina Reeves transferred in from Minnesota has been an asset and also started a freshman Tiffany Tolbert who has been surprisingly good.

The panthers despite ups and downs this season, are 20-7. Definitely has been a team effort. They won another district title and will host West Orange in the regional quarterfinal Thursday Feb 6, who they have knocked off the past two seasons. Keep an eye on those lady panthers as they are looking to get to lakeland a fifth straight time and fourth straight championship stay tuned...
