Miami Country Day Does It Again Back2Back

Miami Country Day returned to Lakeland to defend there title, and did they ever. They breezed through Calvary Christian rather easily behind a balanced attack Ogechi Anyagalibo 15pts 7rebs, 2blks Michelle Berry 12pts 7rebs, Channise Lewis 11pts 7ast, 9pts a piece chipped in by Maria Alvarez and Kelsey Marshall, for a 71-35 win, which set them up for the match everyone throughout the state was expecting against Seffner Christian.


Seffner Christian have a nice battle with Ja'Tavia Tapley 21pts 9rebs and University Christian before taking control in the second half behind Chelsie Hall's 21pts 10rebs 5ast and Peyton Walker's 19pts 8rebs with a 69-56 win.

Championship game was lots of hype coming into this game and with the team Seffner Christian had assembled they believed they could take the champs, which seemed possible, but Country day rose and accepted the challenge defending there crown successfully led the whole game, up 11 at the half and won the game 77-59 behind big games from Channise Lewis 22pts 8ast, Michelle Berry 15pts 10rebs, Kelsey Marshall 15pts 6rebs also 10pts from the fearless 8th grader Maria Alvarez who who hit big three point shots in both games, Peyton Walker finished with 23pts 9rebs.
