Greetings. Our names are Ron Etheridge and John Garman event directors of the (MLK

Classic, Thanksgiving Classic, and City Of Rivers Women’s Invitational) high school

Basketball events. We are organizing the 1st annual Northeast Florida Team camp here in

Jacksonville, Florida at Andrew Jackson and William Raines high school on June 4th and 5th, and July 2nd and 3rd, 2005. The team camp will feature 12 high school teams around the state of Florida. The camp was organized to provide an inexpensive team camp, which will provide high school teams with 4 quality opponents to prepare for the upcoming season. The camp will have two sessions in order to provide all the local high schools in Jacksonville an opportunity to play in the event. There will be a cap of 4-6 teams from Jacksonville and surrounding area in each session. Including with this introductory letter, there’s a copy of the schedule and a copy of the championship bracket. Here’s some basic information on the Northeast Florida Team Camp:


 Each team will be required to register by 9:00 a.m. on Saturday June 4th.

 Teams are required to bring their own warm-up balls, game ball will be provided by the camp.

 Teams will be grouped in 3 pools with four teams in each pool.

 4 games guaranteed

 Top two teams from each pool will advance to an 8-team playoff.

 Two teams will advance by an at-large bid based on overall record and point differential.

 Teams not qualifying for playoff bracket will be grouped in a friendship pool.

 Games will be (4) 12-minute quarters on a running clock, the clock will stop on dead balls, and fouls under 1:00 to play in each quarter.

 Halftime and warm-ups will be 5 minutes.

 Saturday’s 1st game will start at 10:15 a.m. and the last game will start at 8:15 p.m.

 Sunday’s 1st game will start at 8:00 a.m. and the 3rd Place and Championship Game will be played at 3:30 p.m.

 Cash, Check or Money Order registration cost $125.00 made payable to Andrew Jackson Point Guard Club

 1st Session money and registration due by May 1st. 2nd Session June 1st.
