Jacksonville Receiver Is Ready to Take Flight

Jacksonville Bolles wide receiver Traviers Herndon wants to let everyone he faces next year to be prepared for a long day. While he had a good junior campaign, he was injured the entire year and wasn’t able to truly showcase his full potential. Now 100 percent healthy, Herndon is looking forwards to the 2006 season to prove that he is one of best players in the state.
Armwood Defensive Lineman One of the Best In the State

Over the past three years, no school has enjoyed more success than Seffner Armwood high school. With two state football titles and a state runner-up, Armwood has dismissed the Hillsborough county jinx and established themselves as one of the elite football programs in the state. The success of the program can be traced to the talent that the school has had over the past five years. This year, the program will be looking to continue it’s dominance over the state. Leading the way will be their all state defensive lineman Torrey Davis.
Lake Howell Forward Is One of the Best in the State for 2007

Over the past two seasons Lake Howell basketball has captured the attention of the entire state. From 2003-2004 when the Silver Hawks made the final game starting three freshmen to last year’s final four team; Lake Howell has the eyes of the basketball world on them. With the majority of its team intact, Lake Howell is expected to finally win the 5A crown that keeps eluding them. One of the main cogs in the Silver Hawks offense is junior forward Chandler Parsons.
Jacksonville Running Back Is Ready to Take on the State

The state of Florida routinely produces some of the best running backs in the nation. Last year was no exception with the state having several high Division One running backs including the number one running back in the nation in Union County’s C.J. Spiller. Don’t expect this year to be a down year as the state is once again loaded with great running backs. One player to watch for the upcoming year will be Jacksonville Ed White running back Eric Baker.

December 28 through December 30 Ocala Forest High school hosted the 17th Annual Don Kelso State Farm/Closet maid Girls basketball tournament. The tournament is widely considered as the best girl’s basketball tournament in the state of Florida and this year was no different. With a total of seven teams ranked in the top 10 for their perspective classed and three teams ranked number one in the state, the tournament lived up to its reputation and then some. Lakeland DB Ready to Prove He's the Best

The Lakeland Dreadnaughts had a dream season this year. They finished the season with a perfect 15-0 record, winning their second straight 5A state championship and the mythical national championship crown as well by finishing number one in the USA today high school poll. As good as the Dreadnaughts were this year, they can be even better this year. The team was led by playmaking juniors on both sides of the balls. One player hoping to lead the Dreadnaughts to a third state title is junior defensive back Ahmad Black.
Sarasota Quarterback Gets the Job Done

Sarasota Booker’s senior quarterback Darante Hunter isn’t your ideal quarterback. He stands at only 5’10 180lbs. He doesn’t have the strongest arm and may not be the fastest player on the field. Lakeland Linebacker Proves Size Doesn't Matter

Standing at 5’11 205lbs, Lakeland’s star linebacker Scott Bryant has heard all of the reasons why he can’t be a top linebacker on the collegiate level. They have said that he is too small. That he is not fast enough and that he may be better suited at another position. With so many great players on his team, Belle Glades Central star running back Ashton Samuels is often overshadowed by his other teammates. With a quarterback who has passed for over 2,000 yards and two of the top junior players at wide receiver in the state, most teams overlook Samuels and the Raiders running game. What teams soon realize is that not only Samuels is one of the best players on the Central team, but is also one of the better running backs in the state.

North Florida Christian football team has experience a great deal of success of the past 10 years. Over that span, they have won five state championships and have had several players sign to play for major Division One Scholarships. This year is no different as North Florida Christian is again among the elite teams in the state and is one of the favorites to win the 1A state football title. One of the players responsible for the Crusaders success on the football field this year is star wide receiver Carlton Salters.

After having a tremendous summer in which St. Augustine defensive back Jacques Rickerson saw his stock rise as one of the top players in the state, Rickerson was ready for a breakout season. Unfortunately an early injury sidelined him for the first three games of the season and lost most of the momentum he had achieved during the summer.

Winter Haven Ready for Another Title Run

After falling short of winning the 4A title in 2003, Winter Haven Blue Devils left no doubt as to who was the best team in the state last year beating previously undefeated Gainesville Eastside 56-23 to win the state title. It was the first title for Winter Haven and was head coach LeDawn Gibson first title after being the runner up three times in the last four years. With the first title out of the way, Winter Haven now focuses on the new upcoming season where there is only one goal. Win another state title.

St. Augustine Nease Wide Receiver Ryan Ellis followed the how to get recruited guidebook. To get recruited on a national level is simple. Put up big astonishing numbers for the world to talk about during your junior year and continue to do produce during your senior year. Play for one of the top rated teams in the state and become a key member of that team. Surely if you do all of that, colleges will be knocking down your door just to get an opportunity to sign you.
