First Coast lost a heartbreaker in the first round of the playoffs against a determined Mosley squad led by senior leadership in Auburn commitment Enrique Davies, and Tommy Rogers, a small 5’8 inch scat back who played really big for the dolphins on both sides of the ball.

First Coast got on the scoreboard first with a screen pass from super sophomore quarterback Daryl Jones to Florida Prospects Junior stud fullback Carlos King for an 11 yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.

Mosley, came back on the next possession and got a big 70 yard run from Florida Prospects running back Enrique Davies to setup scat back Tommy Rogers for a 8 yard touchdown run to tie the game at 7-7. On the next drive, Daryl Jones threw a costly interception to Tommy Rogers who returned the ball to the Bucs 10 yard line setting up a 5 yard run by Davies before halftime making the score 14-7.

After halftime, both offenses sputtered and First Coast dropped key passes to keep themselves in the game. A 40 yard field by Mosley in the fourth quarter with 7:08
remaining in the game looks as if it would be the final blow to knockout the Bucs. Then came the super sophomore Daryl Jones with a 65 yard catch and run to senior receiver Armani Johnson to make the score 17-14 with only 2:37 left in the game.

However, Mosley recovered the onside kick, and Davies sealed the game with a first down run on a fourth and two.

"We knew this would be a hard game for us, because they have a lot of athletes on defense." said Davies. “We just told our guys to keep grinding, and Tommy, Oliver, Carlton and I would bring us out, and we did.” Carlton Johnson, another Florida Prospects all star did pretty much everything to help his team get a win.

From punting, running reverse, getting sacks, and also lining up at receiver and tight end, Johnson left everything on the field. “Whatever my team needs me to do to get a win, I'll do it. No matter what it is. “said Johnson.
