The Florida Association of Basketball Coaches, “The Voice of Florida Basketball”, is quickly becoming a high profile organization. After a very successful inaugural Fall Clinic at the University of Central Florida, the FABC hosted a second clinic the first weekend of November on the campus of the University of South Florida in the Sun Dome. Nearly seventy coaches representing both boys and girls basketball at all levels attended this clinic. With a chance to learn from five outstanding coaches as well as observe a practice by the USF mens’ basketball team, it was certainly an outstanding event.

After having their record winning streak snapped at home last year by the Kissimmee Osceola Kowboys, the Lakeland Dreadnaughts came into Friday’s night game with extra incentive. Yes the district championship was on the line, but this game was more about the district, it was about pride and bragging rights.

Friday night, the Andrew Jackson Tigers faced a district foe that knew their style of play very well in Jacksonville Raines. The Vikings were coming off of a heartbreak district loss to Bishop Kenny last week and came into the game hoping to put a blemish on the Tigers perfect record at their house on senior night. However the Tigers wasn’t in a giving mood as they beat the Vikings 27-0.
