This year while the state doesn’t have the big names as they normally have, the state as usual have many quality players that will make an impact on the next level. One such player who will be looking on continuing the tradition of great Florida Linebackers is Brandon Lattimore of Tampa Hillsborough.
Rockledge LB/DE Ready to take on State

After winning two state championships in a row, the Rockledge Raiders saw their hopes of a third championship ended early as they failed to make the playoffs. This year the Raiders will be looking forward to returning to the title game. Leading the way for the Raiders will be All State DE/LB Johnny Holmes.

While Chaminade has lost many of their top players to graduation, they do return a core of players who will be looking to make another run at a title. South Florida Receiver has Impressive Showing at Nike Camp

Every year scouts and coaches come down to the state of Florida to see some of the best athletes in the state participate in the annual Nike camp. The camp gives players to solidify their high rankings and also allow players to who are not as well known to showcase their talent. One player who may have helped improved his stock was North Broward Prep WR/DB Michael Moore.
Lakeland Kathleen DE/Ath Ready to Take on the State

Last year was a dream season for Lakeland Kathleen. The Red Devils went a school best 11-1 including an undefeated regular season and a win over long time rival Lake Gibson. The Red Devils was led by the best defense in Polk County and one of the better defenses in the state. Leading the way for the Red Devils Defense was DE Albert McClellan.
Observations from Nike Camp

On Sunday April 4, 2004, Student Sports hosted their annual Nike Camp. Nike Camp invites some of the top athletes throughout the state to go through a training camp. The camp featured top names like Matt Hardrick, Chris Barney, Spencer Adkins, Antoine Smith and many others. Here are some of the observations we saw from the camp.

With the AAU season about to get underway, many of the top players around the state will start to compete in some of the best tournaments around the nation in hope of improving their stock for the upcoming recruiting season. One player who hopes to see his stock continue to rise is 6’7 Brooksville Central Forward Alex Ruoff.
