Last year, the top three receivers in the class of 2005 Fred Rouse, Michael Moore, and Louis Murphy all stood over 6’2. This year the state will continue its recent trend and produce many wide receivers 6’2 and above. Leading the way will be East Ridge Wide Receiver Richard Jackson.


 

Premium Story James is Hard to Catch

In 2004, St. Augustine High School surprised many teams in North Florida by going 12-1. The Yellow Jackets made it all the way to the Regional Finals before losing to the eventual state champions Jacksonville Bolles. The Yellow Jackets will once again be a factor in 3A as they return with the bulk of their team from last year. One of the players that will be leading the way for the Jackets is running back Brandon James.

This past year, the state had nationally ranked running backs such as: Antoine Smith (Pahokee), Maurice Wells (Jacksonville Sandalwood), Roy Upchurch (Tallahassee Godby) and Conredge Collins (Miami Pace). The class of 2006 will be no exception as the state will continue to produce great running backs. Leading the way for the 2006 class will be C.J. Spiller of Union County.
