St Pete Moves On

The St. Peterburg Green Devils move on to the next round of the State Playoffs behind the smooth play of junior Guard Serrell Smith over the Tampa BayTech Titans who had no losses coming in.

The Titans could not stop the Green Devil star Serrell Smith at all in the first half. Smith had a whopping 28 points in the first half but only 8 in the second and he also hit 13 free throws in the game. 

His backcourt mate Darius Banks, contributed 20 points as the senior didn't want to go home. 

The Titans fought back in the second half getting the score 54-64 at the end of the third quarter. The Green Devils held them off with there height advantage by making the Titans take tough shots and getting key rebound and not giving them to many second chances and coming away with 85-77 win. 

Next Game for the Green Devils will be in Bradenton Against Lakewood Ranch 7PM a rematch of last years regional final where the Devils won in a thriller. The Winner of that game will move on to Lakeland and play in the 8A semifinals.
