Florida Prospects staff, along with speed and condition coach Herndon stood on the sidelines of Episcopal Spring Jamboree Friday night and watched the progress of the speed and agility kids shine brightly.

Today we are proud to give you week one of the recruiting diary of Danielle Beneby of South Broward High.

The football class of 2007 in the state of Florida has been dubbed as the year of the running backs. With at least three running backs expected to be ranked amongst the top 100 overall players in the nation, and several other players getting recruited by major Division One colleges the state boasts its best running back in recent history. One player who will lead the challenge for the best running back in the state is Panama City Mosley’s Enrique Davis.

Lakeland’s Ahmad Black is one of the top football players for the class of 2007. Last year, he helped lead Lakeland to a 5A state title and the mythical high school national championship. Recently Black had some exciting news as he committed to play football on the next level. Florida Prospects Football Analyst Michael Holloway recently caught up with Black to discuss his decision on choosing where he will be playing his college career.

This year the state is once again loaded with some of players in the nation. Over the next couple of months, Florida Prospects will begin to release its Top 100 for 2007 starting with the state's Five-Star Players. Today Florida Prospects releases its first batch of five star players.

Over the past five years, Jacksonville Andrew Jackson High School has built their football program to one of the best programs in North Florida. With many Division One athletes each year, the Tigers are a steady fixture in the playoffs each year. This year is no different as the Tigers once again have a quality team that can make some noise come playoff time. One player who will be leading the playoff hopes for the Tigers for the 2006 season is running back Troy Pollard.

After going 15-0 and winning its school’s first state football championship ,many coaches still feel that the road to the class 3A State football championship goes through St. Augustine High School this year.
